Privacy policy

The Open Investment Model (OpenIM) is an open, MIT-licensed reference model. This site and the project's software are built so that there is almost nothing to have a privacy policy about. This page states plainly what that means.

This website

openinvestmentmodel.org is a static website. It has no user accounts, no login, no forms, no comment system and no newsletter. It loads no third-party analytics, fonts, or scripts; every asset is served from this domain.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.

One narrow exception exists at the network layer: if Cloudflare's security system suspects automated or abusive traffic, it may present a challenge, and passing that challenge can set a strictly necessary security cookie (such as cf_clearance) so the visitor is not challenged on every page. That cookie exists only for this security function. It is not used to track, profile, or advertise, and ordinary visits set no cookie at all.

The site is served through Cloudflare, and the origin server keeps standard, short-lived operational logs (IP address, requested page, timestamp) for security and reliability. These logs are not used to identify visitors, are not enriched or shared, and are not used for advertising. Cloudflare processes traffic as a network service provider under its own privacy policy.

The OpenIM MCP server

The read-only MCP server (@openinvestmentmodel/openim-mcp) runs locally on your own machine. The model content ships inside the package. The server has no accounts, sends no telemetry, and operates no OpenIM backend service; your questions and your usage never reach this project. Anything you type stays between you and the AI client you run the server in, under that client's own privacy terms.

Email

If you email the project, we receive what you send and use it only to reply. No mailing lists, no onward sharing.
