A work of love

OpenIM is a work of love by Georgios Antikatzidis, a senior AI and data technologist with over 25 years in financial services. He has built systems inside firms including JP Morgan, Citi and Columbia Threadneedle, and is currently Principal Enterprise Architect for Data and AI at Lloyds Banking Group.

That background is where OpenIM comes from. After 25 years inside investment and banking firms the gap was hard to ignore: the buy-side runs on proprietary vendor maps and consultancy operating-model frameworks, with no open, shared model of what the firm actually is. OpenIM is an attempt to give the industry one, in the open, for anyone to use and build on.

It is published as an open commons under the MIT licence, and contributions are welcome.
